NEW SECTION added to Chapter 2-6
There is created the Developmental Disability Services Oversight Committee. The committee shall: (1) Examine the medicaid waiver programs, administered by the Department of Human Services, that provide home and community-based services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; (2) Monitor the implementation of changes to the waiver programs by the Department of Human Services; (3) Hear testimony from the Department of Human Services on the operation of, and changes to, the waiver programs; (4) Seek feedback from individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their family members, community support providers, and case management organizations regarding the administration of the waiver programs and the provision of services; and (5) Consider proposed legislation or changes to the waiver programs to improve services, operations, and efficiency. 18
